Media component sources
Download all four collections below for the bundled media components. The command-line FFmpeg and ffprobe use GPLv3; Electron’s separate FFmpeg library uses LGPL 2.1. Each collection preserves its original notices and source records.
- FFmpeg core, build scripts and Rust dependency sources
- FFmpeg dependency sources — part 1
- FFmpeg dependency sources — part 2
- Electron FFmpeg source and build materials
- Source manifest and component checksums
- Download checksums
- Build and verification instructions
The two dependency parts contain 96 original source archives, including submodules and 350 vendored Rust packages. The core collection also includes 270 rav1e dependency source archives. Follow the build instructions after extracting both parts into the same directory.
